Equip Parents to be Spiritual Leaders

If you ask parents today, “Who is responsible for the spiritual training in your home?” they’ll likely say, “Parents are.” But if you ask them how they do that, the methodology usually goes something like this, “That’s why we take our kids to the children’s programs at church, enroll them in Awana, or send them to Christian school.”

Although those support services are great, more and more parents are realizing the importance of providing spiritual training at home. Watch this 3-minute video to learn more:

As parents become more aware of their responsibility to train their children spiritually, they need help and guidance. God designed the church to be that place where parents are discipled and equipped to be spiritual leaders in their homes.

Here are a few tools that church leaders are now using to encourage parents to be spiritual leaders.

1. There are four components of Family Ministry. Check them out and see what you’d like to offer in your church or school.

2. Take the 4/14 Family Challenge 90-Day Adventure to equip parents in 90-Days to actually do spiritual training.

3. Host a regional 4/14 Family Challenge Conference in your area.

Are you wondering what the 4/14 Window is?
Watch this short explanation by Dr. Scott Turansky, the North American Facilitator for the 4/14 Window Movement, Family Challenge Track.

The above two videos are just two of the support pieces you can use when you do the 4/14 Family Challenge 90-Day Adventure or a 4/14 Family Challenge Conference in your area.
