Use Hero Training Camp in Your Family this Summer
Do spiritual enrichment activities with your children four days a week for eight weeks this summer. Each weekend listen to a podcast by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller preparing you for the week’s activities and teaching you principles about the conscience as it applies to you and your children.
Then spend the week enjoying Hero Training Camp. As you’re learning together as a family, send in your stories, pictures, videos, and questions to Dr. Turansky and Mrs. Miller who will post and respond to them each week.
Here’s how to sign up.
This program includes three components. A copy of the Hero Training Camp children’s curriculum book gives you eight lessons teaching your children how they can be heroes in training in your home. The At Home Parent Guide gives you daily lesson plans for eight weeks (4 days a week) and the eight webinars offer tips and ideas for running the program. (If you already own Hero Training Camp curriculum book, you can purchase the other two components for $40. Click here.)

Frequently asked Questions
What if I can‘t tune in on that day or we take a week’s vacation?
We know that your summer is busy. That’s why you’ll be able to listen to the podcasts anytime after they are released. You may have to put a week of vacation in the middle somewhere. That’s okay. Just extend your Hero Training Camp one more week at the end. It all works out great. You might even want to take Hero Training Camp on your vacation. It’s a great time for families to grow together spiritually.
What are the dates for each podcast?
The podcasts will be available each weekend to help prepare you for the coming week. All eight podcasts you’ll be able to listen to at your convenience. So if you go on vacation or need to take off a week, you’ll still be able to listen to them.
How will we know when the podcast becomes available?
Once you’re registered for the podcasts you will receive notices and any login information necessary to watch the podcast.
Do I need any software to watch the podcasts?
No, if you can get onto the web, you’ll be able to watch the podcast through your internet browser.
Can my kids watch the podcast too?
The podcasts aren’t designed for children. They are designed to prepare you as a parent to teach the material to your kids. You probably won’t want to have them watch the podcasts with you.
What ages is this for?
The Hero Training Camp at Home program is for children ages 3-12. If you have children over the age of 12 that you’d like to involve in the program we would suggest you have them help teach it. Several of the activities are fun for teens to lead and they often gain valuable insight by being the teacher’s assistant.
