Electronics and Children

Technology has changed us all! In just a short time it seems to have affected nearly every aspect of our lives. Much of it is good and helpful, but as children are learning to use electronics they need a lot of oversight and guidance. Many dangerous challenges face children and young people today, so parents must be vigilant. Opportunities for both good and evil are in the hands of children, often before their level of character is developed enough to handle it. As children grow, electronics will no doubt be part of their school and work, as well as their entertainment, but skills are  needed to manage them wisely. Here are a few tools we’ve pulled together to help you parent in this area.

How much is too much screen time? How can you tell when your child is crossing the line toward addiction? How can you as a parent manage the electronics AND the “demandingness”  or anger a child exhibits when you try? Of course, not all children are the same, further complicating the application of the truths. These and many other questions about electronics will be addressed in this very important teaching session.
