We modified the Hero Trophy activity and created arm bands instead. The kids obviously had a lot of fun talking about how they were going to be heroes this week by looking out for things that need to be done in our family and doing them. This activity was particularly fun and we used it all week.
We used the parachute idea from lesson 5 to talk about the 4 parts of the conscience and how it protects from falling.
In an effort to get kids thinking about others we did the activity “Always Room for One More.” we kept folding the towel smaller and smaller and they worked as a team to all stay on it. It was a fun teamwork activity for our family.
The science experiment with the milk was fascinating for the kids. They really got into it. And then talking about how when we do the wrong thing and have a churning conscience was great because it gave the kids a visual picture of what’s happening in their hearts.
We did the egg experiment then we talked about how heroes are strong on the inside and can fight off temptation.
