Option 1: A Live Seminar With Dr. Scott Turansky
In this event, Dr. Scott Turansky personally guides parents through a practical, heart-based strategy they can use with any child, any age, and any problem. Children today face challenges, and parents need more than quick fixes or reactions. They need a plan.
You’ll explore major areas that families struggle with such as anger, disrespect, sibling conflict, bad attitudes, and even more complex issues like ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Rather than simply addressing behavior, this seminar equips parents to develop character, strengthen internal motivation, and build the life skills their children need for long-term success.
The seminar is hopeful, encouraging, and parents love the practical, biblical approach. Throughout the seminar, we walk step-by-step through a framework for change. Parents receive a clear action plan, practical techniques, and the encouragement to start seeing growth immediately.
The event also includes a live Q&A session where I provide next steps tailored to real-life family situations.
This seminar usually takes place on a Saturday morning between 8:45 am and 12 noon. But I can be flexible and fit into your plans. I also can teach in your Sunday morning worship service if that would be helpful.
This seminar is ideal for parents of children ages 2–18.
Cost: $5,000 honorarium plus travel
Option 2: A local presenter trained by us comes to your church.
This highly practical seminar is taught by trained presenters located around the country. These men and women are professionals who have completed our National Center for Biblical Parenting training program and are fully equipped to teach our Parenting Is Heart Work seminar.
Because presenters are local, this option can be very cost-effective for churches looking to host a biblical parenting event without the expense of long-distance travel.
Parents learn the foundational tools of a heart-based approach, including our 5-Step Instruction Routine that builds cooperation, responsibility, and responsiveness to authority. Getting things done is at the heart of all parenting so parents find this part of the seminar particularly helpful.
We also spend time focusing on correction, what it is, what it isn’t, and how parents can use it to reach the heart rather than simply manage behavior.
This seminar also includes free children’s program curriculum (ages 3–12), in case you want to provide a children’s program that complements what the parents are learning.
Cost:
• $350 host church fee
• $20 per attendee (minimum guarantee of 50 people)
• Of that $20, $5 is returned to the church to offset your own event expenses
• Local travel reimbursement for the presenter
