Your kids will have fun learning about God’s Word and how it applies to their lives. Science experiments, art activities, and games are all designed to reinforce spiritual truth. Each lesson is clear and simple, yet profound even for parents! You’ll teach kids how exciting it is to learn about God and his ways. Your kids will love these books, but more importantly you’ll build spiritual memories of Family Time in your home.
Here’s what some parents have experienced during Family Time:
“Family Time was a big hit! Even on the first night we had to get the video camera out to capture them walking on the balance beam in the family room. My husband who was somewhat skeptical gave me a kiss afterwards and said, ‘That was really nice!'”
“Tonight was the night we usually do Family Time but Mike, my husband, was gone. Two kids showed up at our door with a plate of cookies and asked if we were doing Family Time. Isn’t that so cute?! Kids just love Family Time!“
Author: Kirk Weaver is the founder and director of Family Time Training and has labored long and hard to develop a system that makes parents appear creative and cool in the eyes of their own kids. Kirk has written and published hundreds of Family Time lessons, all of which are designed so that parents can follow the directions and cook up fun activities.
Where do you start? Every book is compilation of activities. There’s no particular theme so you can start anywhere you’d like. For an index of all the activities in all the books.
For All Ages
Three of the Family Time Activities books are for families with children of all ages. Each lesson contains a teaching goal, a Scripture passage, and a list of easy to obtain supplies. Then you’ll have the Big Idea, the Activity, and the Application. Lessons are simple but profound! The goal is one high-energy Family Time once a week that leave kids begging for more. Seeing is Believing, Running the Race, and Playing for Keeps are three different books, each with 20-21 lessons that teach timeless spiritual truths and faith lessons.
For Preschoolers
Bubbles, Balloons, & Chocolate and Wiggles, Giggles, & Popcorn are two Family Time Activities books created specifically for young children. The format is the same as the All Ages books, but the activities, games, and lessons involve the children physically without the need for reading or writing. The Scripture verses are simple and foundational. The first sixteen pages of each Family Time Activities book are exactly the same, teaching parents how to set up Family Time in your home so that it’s the best 20-40 minutes of the week! Kids will be begging for more.
For Teens
Tried and True is the Family Time Activities book for older children. The format is the same as the other five books but the lessons are created specifically for preadolescents and teens to bring their faith to life. Teens need to be challenged to integrate values and convictions into their daily relationships and decisions. Older children need to know that God is involved personally in everything they do and the Bible is relevant. These activities draw out significant dialogue for you and your children.
