Tools to Make Your Parenting Event a Success
We are looking forward to partnering with you and your church to offer this dynamic seminar to your community. This is a strategic seminar that helps parents apply biblical theology to their daily lives. It’s practical, hopeful, and encourages parents in a powerful way.
Please keep these things in mind as we move forward together:
1) This event has the potential to add energy to your parent discipleship program. So, think bigger than a seminar. Think about creating momentum, building a team, raising interest, and getting people on board your other parent training programs.
2) It’s hard to get parents to come to an event. You will have to work very hard in promotion to make it happen. Don’t rely on the idea that most churches believe that “Everyone in our church signs up at the last minute.” You want to make the process as easy as possible removing as many roadblocks as you can. That’s why many churches offer childcare, food, easy registration, and even scholarships for those who can’t afford it.
3) You’ll want to have three promotion teams. 1) To reach those within your church. 2) To reach non believers in your community, and 3) To reach other like-minded churches, Christian schools, preschools and others in the Christian community.

Bios
Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller will be teaching this seminar.
Dr. Turansky and Mrs. Miller are the co-founders of the National Center for Biblical Parenting, an organization that offers Christian Parenting Conferences and biblical parenting resources for churches and individual parents. They also started Biblical Parenting University to provide online biblical training for parents, Sunday School teachers and Christian School teachers. Dr. Turansky and his wife Carrie have five children and four grandchildren and live in New Jersey. He works each week with families in his counseling practice and develops resources and solutions for parents that work.

Joanne Miller, RN, BSN and her husband, Ed, have two grown sons, and two grandchildren. Joanne has been a pediatric nurse since 1986 and is a public speaker. She is a co-author, with Scott of “Parenting is Heart Work,” along with fourteen other books on parenting. She delights in helping children change their hearts, not just their behavior.
